Up until now your ability to modify and improve already published landing pages required temporarily deactivating your masterpiece.
This is unacceptable when you have active marketing campaigns and visitors already landing on your page. Taking it offline too often meant that you had to take your advertisements offline as well.
Well your worries are over because starting today you can edit live pages at anytime without effecting the published version and more importantly your visitors experience. To try out this new feature simply click Edit on any page you’ve already published.
You’ll be presented a message asking you to confirm:
As noted in the message you can edit your live pages, however optimization stats will still need to be reset (not all stats) because new content and additional changes eliminate our systems historical evidence on how variations were effecting conversions.
With this in mind, I suggest making changes early or taking the currently best performing variation (find this on your stats dashboard) and start improving from here.
When you’re done making your updates you’ll need to Re-Publish your page so that the new design can either overwrite the live url or be published to a new one altogether.
That’s it, you’re done! If you choose to publish to a new URL instead of replacing the active page, you now have two separate pages to manage within your dashboard.
